PROFILE & SIZE
Define the bowl profile before you lock the dimensions.
A shallow dish spreads food over a wider area, while a deeper bowl holds it in a different shape. Raised and tilted versions add a stand or base to the purchase. Compare the space used on the floor, access to the food and the parts removed for cleaning before selecting the size range.
Opening & usable interior
Record the usable opening and internal depth of the selected bowl. For shaped rims or tapered sides, do not rely on one outside diameter to describe the space inside.
Assembled height & angle
For raised or tilted directions, confirm the finished bowl position together with the base or stand. Record overall height and the angle only where they apply to that reference.
Footprint & bowl spacing
Measure the complete footprint, not only the vessel. For paired designs, confirm the size of each bowl, center spacing and total assembled width.
MATERIAL DIRECTION
Choose the bowl material as deliberately as the shape.
Material changes weight, finish, decoration, packing and care. Stainless steel, ceramic and molded plastic should be treated as different specifications, not as interchangeable versions of the same bowl.
Stainless steel
Useful for open bowls and removable inserts where a steel version is selected. Confirm the actual stainless grade, wall thickness or gauge, rim and seam construction, surface finish, any base ring, and the care instructions for that exact version. Do not infer grade or food-contact evidence from a polished appearance.
Ceramic
Often chosen when weight, molded form or decorative finish is part of the product direction. Confirm body thickness, glaze and decoration, finished weight, chip or breakage considerations, packing protection, and any food-contact documentation required for the target market.
Molded plastic
Useful for integrated bases, shaped bowls and broad colour programs. Confirm the resin or material grade where relevant, wall thickness, surface texture, molded colour or decoration, integrated joints, and any heat or care claim for the exact finished version.
ASSEMBLY & CARE
Specify the bowl, support and included parts as one finished setup.
A reference can combine a vessel with a base, stand, feet, holder or other removable pieces. Keep the full assembly clear so the quotation, sample, care information and retail pack describe the same version. Use the customization process to discuss assembly or branding changes against the selected reference.
Material & bowl body
Confirm the selected vessel shape, finished dimensions and exact material specification. For stainless steel, record the grade and finish where required; for ceramic, record the glaze and decoration; for molded plastic, record the resin or material grade where relevant. Keep these details tied to the selected reference rather than the whole range.
Base, stand or feet
Record which support parts are included, how the bowl sits in or on them, and the assembled dimensions. Do not assume every raised or footed design separates in the same way.
Removable components
List inserts, holders, bottles or other pieces only when they belong to the selected SKU. Confirm how each part is removed, replaced or cleaned where relevant.
Surface & decoration
Approve the visible finish, print, colour and logo position on the actual surface being decorated. Keep food-contact surfaces and exterior decoration clearly distinguished in the specification.
Cleaning & disassembly
Review how the finished item comes apart and which care instructions apply to each component. A material name or similar appearance does not establish one cleaning method for every version.
Retail pack contents
Confirm exactly what the buyer receives: bowls, support pieces, accessories, labels, instructions and the agreed retail packaging for that SKU or set.
Claims to verify
If retail copy will use terms such as food-contact safe, dishwasher-safe, non-slip or scratch-resistant, confirm the exact finished version, the supporting test or compliance basis where applicable, intended use and destination market. A claim for one material or component should not be carried across the Cat Bowls range without evidence.

Measure the finished setup
Check the usable opening, internal depth, overall height and footprint against the agreed specification. For sets, verify each vessel and the assembled spacing.
Review assembly & cleaning access
Fit and remove the parts that are meant to separate. Check joins, contact points and areas that need to be reached during normal cleaning without assuming a care method.
Confirm the retail version
Review colour, decoration, labels, instructions, included components and packaging together so the delivered version matches the approved sample and specification.
Describe raised, angled, printed or supported formats by their physical design. Use health, safety or durability wording only when it has been verified for the exact finished version.
